Description
There are many wonderful things to see in the mountains of Western North Carolina, but one of the most peaceful (as long as you don't get lost) and beautiful things to do is to take a ride on some of the back roads, especially a dirt road. This photograph shows the view along Greasy Creek Road in Cherokee County in autumn. The leaves are at or near peak and the sun is peaking through an opening in the trees causing the already colorful fall leaves to glow and creating a light patch to appear on the shadowed road. The road is visible traveling off into the distance with the glow of golden, yellow and red leaves all around.
