Description
Taken just before sunrise, this black and white photograph shows one of the sidewalks leading from the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C. to the Thomas Jefferson Building of The Library of Congress. Although the sky is beginning to lighten up as sunrise approaches, the lights of the Capitol grounds are still my main source of light as I walk to this beautiful building. A bench along the path beckons me to sit and enjoy a few minutes of near silence in a city filled with noise.
