Description
Located at the corner of Bull Street and Bay Street, the Savannah, Georgia City Hall sits on Yamacraw Bluff, overlooking the Savannah River. This bluff is the same bluff General James Oglethorpe landed on in 1733. Built in 1905 on the site of the 1799 City Exchange, the gold dome of Savannah's City Hall has become an icon as the most distinctive building in town.
In this black and white photograph, th gold dome glows against the deep blue sky.
