Description

This color photograph, which was taken at night looks across across Hiwassee Street in Murphy, North Carolina. Photographed in December, the Town of Murphy's Christmas tree and other decorations are visible. Traffic is fairly heavy for this small mountain town in western North Carolina as people go Christmas shopping or out to eat at one of the many restaurants available. Streaks of light travel across the image as the long exposure on recorded the lights of the cars in motion. A few cars are visible sitting under the red traffic light.
