Description
This black and white photograph shows the statue of Father Junipero Serra in the National Statuary Hall of the US Capitol in Washington DC. Made of bronze, the statue of Father Junipero Serra was given to the National Statuary Hall by the State of California in 1931. In this photograph the light of the sun falls across the face and chest of Father Junipero Serra. A white statue in the background is reflecting light onto a nearby column creating a wonderful separation of the cross and background.
A color version of Father Junipero Serra is also available.
Father Junipero Serra In Black and White was photographed by Chrystal Mimbs.
