Description
This black and white photograph shows the tile sign on the wall outside Cafe Du Monde in the French Quarter of New Orleans. On the historic tile sign are the words: "When New Orleans was the Capital of the Spanish Province of Luisiana. 1762 - 1803 This street bore the name Camino Real Y Muelle". Now known as Decatur Street. Above the tile sign if a plaque which reads; "Halle des Boucheries Built - 1813 Restored - 1975".
