Artist's Description
This black and white photograph was taken along US 64, just outside Hayesville, North Carolina. As the downpour gave way to a slow, steady rain, I saw in the distance a small break in the clouds beginning to form. From the thinning clouds spilled the bright light of the late morning sun, lighting the mountains past the opposite shores of Lake Chatuge.
